Sun Catchers

We made sun catchers out of plastic beads today.  It was another thing that I saw on Pinterest and wanted to try with the girls.  We used the girls beads that they string and put them in the bottom of a muffin tin in a single layer.
Then we put them in the oven at 400 degrees for about half an hour.
They popped right out of the pan, but I wouldn't recommend using your good muffin tin like I did.  There was a light "crust" that got left in the pan around the edge of the top, and I am having a hard time getting it off...it is melted plastic after all.

Joel will take them to work and drill holes in them for us and then they will be hung up to catch the sun!

Joel suggested that we do it with red and green beads for Christmas.  They will look neat hanging on the tree in front of the lights!

They are really neat. Is it safe to use the pan for food again?
