We had such a wonderful weekend because we didn't have to do anything! We enjoyed ourselves just as a family. Lovely!
But all said, I don't really have anything to talk about. I feel like such a lazy blogger lately. I'm trying to think if there is a different way I should do this...
...and the little moments, humble though they be, make the mighty ages of eternity

Excitement!
I had my doctor appointment this afternoon, and after 2 weeks of checking sugars 4 times a day, I am allowed to reduce to just twice a day! Yay! I had hoped they would negotiate since the sugars have been ridiculously low, and I was pleased! My fingers will appreciate it immensely! The baby seems to be doing well and is head down, for which I am thankful. Sometimes I get concerned because it feels like he is doing somersaults in there, and I never know which direction he is facing!
So that is pretty much the news for tonight. Still haven't found the battery charger. Have a great weekend!

Everyday Life
I can't find the charger for the camera battery, and it is almost dead so I haven't been taking pictures. I thinkn that every time I use the charger I think "I'm going to put it _____ so I will remember where it is next time." Unfortunately, I never remember.
We have been having very normal, unexciting days. We haven't even done any crafts or anything. We've done school and Bible time and taken walks and gone to the playground. Normalcy can be so lovely! I've also been trying to work some in the mornings, which I don't really like, but there is more work in the mornings than the afternoons, especially at the beginning of the week.
Have you started Christmas shopping yet? It is super-early for me to start, but with this baby coming, I figured we had better get a jumpstart! We haven't accomplished much, but right now it's still in the stage of figuring out what to get for everyone anyways. I haven't come up with any "educational" gifts for the girls this year either. Oh well. Sometimes they just need to have fun, right?!
The Pnut is actually making good progress with her reading book. We are taking it slower than it suggests, but she really seems to be grasping the concepts now. This is all actually in the name of perserverance. She likes to give up when things get to hard, which I guess is probably part of human nature, so I really am having her do this for character's sake. I don't really care if she can read before kindergarten. I think she is starting to secretly like it more, though, because she is reading words now. She actually read the first "Bob" book the other day too. Very exciting stuff.
So that is the update for today. Tomorrow I go to the doctor after Joel gets off work. I think I am at 32 weeks. I keep losing track. It is good to go to the doctor and have them confirm where I am:) But if that is the case, there are only 8 weeks left. Aaah!

Cream Cheese Delight
We had a wonderful weekend away with our Sunday School class, which was lots of fun. Joel's mom came up and kept the dog and the girls, and they had a ball too:) The weather couldn't have been nicer or the food tastier! Everyone is teamed up so that all couples help with one meal. We had lots of delicious food! Of course, we didn't get enough sleep, but we are making up for that now.
I took along a dessert called Cream Cheese Delight. It is really good and really easy!
2 pkg of 8 crescent rolls
2 8 oz pkg cream cheese, room temp
1 c sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
Topping
1/4 c sugar
1 t cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350. Spread once pack of crescent rolls in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 pan. Mix cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg together until smooth and creamy. Spready over rolls in pan. Spread other package of crescent rolls on top of mixture. Mix together sugar and cinnamona nd sprinkle on top. Bake for 25 minutes. Top with fruit if desired.
This is so quick to make and just tastes wonderful!

Some Princesses
The girls wanted their pictures taken in their new dresses Joel brought home last night. They were quite excited about them!
Someone told me she didn't know how to smile and this was it. She was just fake smilling all over the place!
We had an eventful day. Pnut fell on the sidewalk on our walk because she was running and skinned both her hands and her knee. She also tore her tights. Pilly had many playdough balls all over the floor when she was done playing. And I finally got my blood sugar to go over the 120 limit. I ate 3 pieces of french toast with syrup for supper. And it was only 133. My blood sugar has consistently been between 60-90 two hours after I eat, which is not anywhere near high. So I've been trying to see how much I can push it and what kind of limits it needs. Apparently, I can eat quite a few more carbs than I was told:)

Brrr
I haven't been very good about taking pictures lately. There hasn't been anything too exciting and the girls have been so busy hopping around that taking a picture of them would be quite difficult!
Today we took a walk and made our ears into popsicles. We enjoyed it though. The girls are into looking for pumpkins on people's porches, which makes for a fun time. Everything is a competition with them so of cousre they have to see who can spot them first. There is even a person on one part of the walk who has sparkly fake pumpkins. I think those are their favorites.
Eating also is a competition...Pnut gets really mad if Pilly finishes before her. Thus, we are working on being a good sport:)
Naps apparently were optional today, although no one cleared it with Mama first. So I was so thankful once bedtime came. They were really tired!
So far everything is going well with the blood sugar. I haven't had a high one yet, which surprised me since I am kind of guessing on some of the foods since we don't eat a lot of boxed foods. Figuring out how many carbs are in your cream cheese potato soup is lots of fun!
I bought this material to make skirts for the girls a couple of weeks ago. I actually cut it out Sunday afternoon. Pnut really wants to wear hers. And sometime I will find the motivation to do it...I just don't feel like it at night! I should work in the morning and evening one day and just get them done. They will be quick. So until I get that done, I won't be working on any other projects!

I feel quite tired tonight, and I don't know why because I don't feel like I did that much today. I had to go to my GD appointment today and have had to prick my finger 3 times already. I know that will get easier, but it is certainly not fun! On a good note, my sugars have all been good so far.
So now I am going to go lay on the cough and play Professor Layton. Tomorrow we are home for the whole day! It will be lovely:)
