Happy Valentine's Day!! and Drop Sugar Cookies

We started out our Valentine's Day with pancakes with pink sprinkles, which the girls loved.  Later after LB went back to bed, we made drop sugar cookies, which were lots of fun, super easy, and really good:

3/4 c sugar
2/3 c veg oil
2 t baking powder
2 t vanilla
1/2 t salt
2 eggs
2 c flour

Preheat oven to 400.  Mix everything but flour in bowl.  Add flour and mix thoroughly.  Drop dough onto baking sheet.  Press dough with glass, dip glass in sugar, press again.  Decorate with sprinkles if desired.  Bake 8-10 minutes.

I let Pnut crack the eggs for the first time ever.

Stirring is hard work...

...especially if you only use one hand!

The cookies also passed taste inspection with flying colors!

They passed so well I barely got a picture of this kid before she finished hers!

They really turned out beautifully with nice edges, soft, and not too browned!

Almost the Weekend!

Hmmm, not sure what to post about tonight.  I finished most of a baby gift today and will post pictures later.  I just need to make a burp cloth and then I will be done.  I'm also going to make some burp cloths for LB.  We just been using a thin blanket, and I never remember to stick anything in the diaper bag.

 Pilly picked out her layers herself.  Pnut has been layering her clothes lately so I guess this is catching on:)  I do it too; we are quite stylish.

Tomorrow is cleaning day again already.  It is amazing how quickly it comes!  I also hope to finish the baby gift and make another one that I need for next Wednesday.  We'll see though.  A certain baby hasn't been very cooperative about afternoon naps.  He just hasn't been settling well and can't keep the pacifier in his mouth but wants to suck.  Not exactly sure what to do about that.  He will not be sucking his thumb!

We had a nice, quiet day here at home.  Have I mentioned lately how much I love staying home and the more I am here the less I want to go anywhere?  Is that weird?  Is it weird that I miss LB once he goes to bed and want to go get him up so I can hold him and make him smile at me? 

She loves him a lot too!  I don't know what I would do without her!

We've had time to read lots of books lately, which was something we were having a hard time doing at first. 

Pilly was reading to us and everything was "Dance with the horse, dance with the cow, dance with the chicken, dance with the dog." Even though she doesn't know all of the right words, it is funny because she says her own words to the tempo and beat that I read the book. 

Pnut does it too.  She read a book to LB, and she used the same intonation.  How funny!  They don't miss anything...

He is quite excited...

He's looking at himself in the mirror.  What a turkey!  He made us laugh a lot:)

Little Sumo

LB gains weight a lot faster than either of the girls did.  After he is done eating, his little belly sticks out so far!

He says, "What are you looking at?"

He has two chins, possibly three!

I love babies in onesies!  How cute!

I am so thankful for my healthy, beautiful, wonderful children!

Some Girls

I said last night that I needed to take some pics of the girls so I did today.  And I'm so glad I did!  Their faces crack me up!

Uncooperative!

I had to go get my blood test today for the followup to having gestational diabetes.  Hopefully I will hear back quickly that everything is okay!  My wonderful friend Jackie kept the girls for me and make lunch for us!  I'm so thankful for my friends:)  LB and I went, and he was so good the whole time. 

He was smiling and interacting so much tonight...until I got the camera out.  Then he wouldn't give me another big smile.  What a squirt.

He won't be able to wear this outfit again.  He is so long that he is popping the snaps open.  I think this outfit makes him look chubbier than other ones.
